Fresh
The longer it takes to get the herbs from farm to your table the less flavorful they are. We package weekly and we sell directly to the stores, so you always get the freshest possible product.
Natural
We make sure that our raw materials are completely natural (no GMO’s, no MSG, no preservatives, non-irradiated, sugar-free, etc.) and we only purchase from producers with the highest integrity.
Flavorful
I always search for organic, but whether organic or conventional, the most important criterion for me is flavor. So, you can count on getting the most flavorful herbs and seasoning available.
Handmade
These products are truly ‘handmade.’ We roast, mill, blend (in small batches) and pack our products in-house, so that we can guarantee quality control.

As a consumer, you have many herb and seasoning product lines to choose from. When I considered creating the Handmade Culinary Collection, I recognized, first and foremost, that I was a consumer too! So, I decided to look at the competition—as a consumer—and try to figure out what was missing and what I could bring to the table.
Price
Most herbs and seasonings are expensive, it’s not uncommon to spend $5. to $10. for a small jar! Being a guy who always looks for a good value, I thought that it was outrageous to spend that much. At the Handmade Culinary Collection we eliminated the expense of glass jars, and decided to price products at a fair ‘everyday low price.’ This, combined with selling direct to stores, helps cut down on unnecessary promotional expenses, and we just pass on the savings.
Ecology
We are committed to protecting the environment. All our paper packaging is made with 100% recycled material (80% post-consumer waste) and we use vegetable-based inks. Our bags are polypropylene, and they are both reusable and recyclable. We are also working with an innovative bag manufacturer to create a new biodegradable bag (stay tuned!). Finally, we support sustainable agriculture and we buy organic whenever organic is the most flavorful product.
Innovation
As the chief innovator, I’m a bit of a paradox: I like the things that I like but I also appreciate newness. I love experimenting with new ingredients and creating new flavors! Customer Service
We’re a small company but we realize that good customer service is critical. I will supply regular recipes, chef’s tips, videos (new!) and a monthly cooking-related blog post. Community
As a company, we believe in giving back to the community. We regularly have free tastings and currently donate both product and a portion of our profits to select food banks and charities in Central California. .
